Obituary of James Towsley

TOWSLEY: James Chappelow, passed away at Riverview Gardens, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the age of 75 years, after a long, courageous battle with Pick’s Disease. Jim was born on the home farm in Ridgetown, son of the late Roy and Ethel Towsley. Loving husband for 52 years of Edith Towsley (Tinney). Dear father of Barbara Macko (Dave), Ann Martens (Paul), Marnie Ball (Doug) and David Towsley (Valerie), all of Chatham. Loved grandfather to Crystal and Jessica Martens, Andrea Macko and Nolan and Lauren Ball. Brother to Bill and Isobel Towsley, Dorothy and Ben Gieseke, Ethel and Del Blaine and Kathy and Jack Millard. Predeceased by brothers Eugene and Ron Towsley and sister Marie Morley. Survived also by sister-in-law Marion Towsley, brother-in-law John Morley and many nieces and nephews. Jim was a retired Bell Canada Technician and a member of Ridge Community Church. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 3:00p.m. with Rev. Wanda Burse officiating. Cremation to follow with a Private Family Interment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by the family to Ridge Community Church or the Diabetes Association.
