Obituary of Marinus DeBruyn

DeBruyn: Marinus. A resident of Ridgetown, Marinus DeBruyn, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 88. Born in Holland, to the family of the late Petrus & Anna (Boons) DeBruyn. Cherished husband to the late Mary (Segeren) DeBruyn (2004). Dear brother of Suzanne Boelaars of Holland, Antonette & Dion Van Roessel of Sydney, B.C., and Hubertus & Toos DeBruyn of Holland. Forever missed by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by brothers Peter DeBruyn (2010) of Ridgetown, and Jos DeBruyn (1990) of Holland. Marinus spent many years farming in Rodney before he retired and moved to Ridgetown in 2002. Family to receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ridgetown at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Jorges Villegas as celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marinus DeBruyn to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
