Obituary of William Lester

Lester, William (Bill), A resident of Chatham, William (Bill) Lester passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Morse) Lester. Cherished father of Brad and Rodah Lester of Toronto, Brenda and Bill Bathurst of Chatham, Brian Lester of London, and daughter-in-law Rose Lester of Chatham. Predeceased by his son Robert Lester (2008). Beloved grandfather of Peter, Emmanuel, Elijah, and Namulinda of Toronto; Kelly and Brian of Chatham; Jacqueline of Windsor and Jade of Chatham; and Brandon of London. Dear great-grandfather of Casey of Chatham, Daniel of Toronto, and Hunter of Chatham. Dear brother-in-law of Doug Morse of London. Beloved cousin of Jack Emmott of Burlington. Bill will be fondly remembered and missed by his 4 legged pal Buddy. A former police officer and claims adjuster, as a young man Bill was a very passionate softball player and golfer. Bill was also a proud member of the Maple City Country Club. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Heather Scott officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Bill to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the O.S.P.C.A Chatham – Kent would be appreciated by the family.
