Obituary of Joe Reive

REIVE: Garnet Joseph (Joe). A resident of Highgate, Joe Reive passed away at the Babcock Community Care Centre, Wardsville on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the age of 90. Born in North Gosfield Township, son of the late Ralph and Bertha (Williamson) Reive. Beloved husband of the late Audrey (Hornick) Reive (June 23, 2010). Brother of the late Alfreda Carder, Elmer (Jack) Reive, Douglas Reive, and George Reive. Brother-in-law of Gerald Hornick of Thamesville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Reive was a Veteran of WWII, and served with the R.C.A.F. from 1942-45, and 1958-70. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Legion Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Alan McIntyre officiating. Interment in Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #335 Highgate or charity of choice would be appreciated.
