Obituary of Mary Jo Solarik

SOLARIK: Mary Jo (Wootton) A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Windsor, Mary Jo passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Riverview Gardens, at the age of 72. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Joel & Irene (Dickson) Wootton. Dear mother of Tracy Lachine of Chatham. Mary Jo is remembered by her granddaughters Christy Lynn Lachine and Carly Jo Lachine, and their father Christopher Lachine. Predeceased by Thomas Solarik. Beloved sister of the late Audrey Marie Smith. Mary Jo will be missed by her dear friends Catherine Moore, Hilda Valiquette, and Joni Brown, who were known as the “Four Amigos”, and Rachel Lammers. Mary Jo was an active member of the M.S. Society, and St. Andrew’s United Church. She loved books and was well taken care of by the Chatham Library, often reading 4 books a week.
