Obituary of Roland Normandin

NORMANDIN: Roland. A resident of Chatham, Roland Normandin died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday February 23, 2011 at the age of 79. Born in Pain Court, son of the late Dennis & Lena Normandin. Beloved husband of Joan Normandin for 52 years. Loving father of Joseph & Darlene Normandin of Chatham, Mike & Donna Normandin of London, and Laurie Normandin of Chatham. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jake, Chelsee, Gabriell, Aaron, and Eric. Dear brother of Maurice Normandin and Pauline & Leo Segeren, all of Chatham, and the late Paul Normandin and Edna Laevens. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Roland worked with United Co-operatives for 35 years as grain elevator and fertilizer manager. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers at the Funeral Home on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Chatham on Saturday February 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matthew Kucharski celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Donations in memory of Roland to the Lung Association welcomed.
