Obituary of Jennie McCallum

McCallum: Jennie Eliza (nee Clark)- A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Wallaceburg and area, Jennie McCallum passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 94. Born in Chatham Gore, daughter of the late Thomas & Edna (Brown) Clark. Beloved wife of the late Jack W. McCallum (1971). Loving mother of Edna & Charles Gerow of Chatham, Jean & Larry Cooper of Colborne, and Dianne Johnston & Gary Stenton of Corunna. Jennie is predeceased by her sons Murray McCallum(2003), Melvin McCallum (1997), Ronald McCallum (2006), and Karl McCallum (1983). Proud grandmother of 17. Jennie will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear sister of William Sturgis of Dresden and Lois Ann Kerr of Petrolia. Predeceased by her sisters Lois Stewardson and Alma Morrison, and her brother Sheldon Clark. Jennie will be fondly remembered by Connie McCallum, Midge Ripley, Pat Lalonde, and sister in-law Nada Anglehart. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Dresden Cemetery. Jennie’s family wish to extend their many thanks to Dr. Francis Ng, all the staff and volunteers of Meadowpark Nursing Home, and all the nurses and caregivers at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance.
