Obituary of John Colby

COLBY: John William Edwin. A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Harwich Township, John Colby passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the age of 84. Born in Harwich Township, son of the late John and Mary (Cadotte) Colby. Dear brother of George and Aileen Colby of Chatham, Monica Duck (late Donald) of Chatham, Marie St. Pierre (late Leonard) of Ridgetown, Maxine Charleton of Chatham, and the late Peter Colby and his wife Phyllis of Ridgetown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. John farmed in Harwich Township until his retirement. He was a member of St. Michael's Parish, Ridgetown. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 26 George Street, Ridgetown on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Howard Township.
