Obituary of David Pilon

PILON: David William – With heavy hearts, we announce the loss of David Pilon, a resident of Blenheim, and formerly of Erieau and Port Lambton. David passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on March 27th, 2011 at the age of 78. Born in Erieau, David was the son of the late Charles and Margaret “Peg” (Monteith) Pilon. Beloved husband of Shirley Ann Pilon (nee Dunlop). Loving father of Chris and Rosie Pilon of California, Brad and Julia Pilon of Strathroy, Peggy and Peter Watson of Chatham and Krista and Mike Gladstone of Rondeau Park. Proud grandfather of Cori Pilon, Amelia, Rachael and Bridgette Pilon and Blair and Stewart Watson. Survived by his brother Bob Pilon and his wife Pat of Collingwood and his sister-in-law Shirley Pilon of Southampton. Predeceased by his brother Charles “Sonny” Pilon and his daughter-in-law Audrey Pilon. David will be missed by his beloved springer spaniel, Molly. David was born and raised near the water and those ties were important to him in the way he lived his life and raised his family - a legacy that has carried on. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim, on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Susan Woodhouse officiating. Interment to follow at Pardoville-Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of David to the Canadian Cancer Society or the O.S.P.C.A. Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
