Obituary of Joy Hartford

HARTFORD: Joy - A lifetime resident of Blenheim, Joy Hartford passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the age of 61. Joy lost her battle with Scleroderma after a lengthy struggle. Beloved mother of Kimberley LeClair and her husband Math of Charing Cross. She will be missed by several brothers and sisters as well as many friends and extended family. Joy was a hairdresser in Blenheim for almost 40 years and will be missed for her strength and her guidance. Joy enjoyed her time working at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 465 in Merlin where she worked for many years. It was Joy’s request that there would be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Joy’s life will be held at the New St. Mary’s Hall on Saturday, April 9, 2011 starting at 2:00 p.m. Dinner will be held at 4:30 p.m. Donations made in memory of Joy to the Scleroderma Society would be appreciated by the family.
