Obituary of Hazel Glendinning

GLENDINNING: Hazel Joyce. A resident of Blenheim, Hazel Glendinning passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the age of 79. Born in Tilbury North Township, daughter of the late Spencer and Edna (Belisle) Hamilton. Beloved wife of William (Bill) Glendinning for 61 years. Dear mother of David Glendinning and his wife Carollee of Chatham, and Scott Glendinning and his wife Teresa of Antigua. Grandmother of Jennifer Glendinning of Chatham, Sara and Darryl Hoekstra of Chatham, and Asher Lee Chisolm of Chatham. Great-grandmother of Kyran and Owen. Mrs. Glendinning was a retired Teacher, and taught at W.J. Baird Public School, and Glenwood Public School. She was a retired member of the Federation of Women Teachers' Associations of Ontario. She was also a member of the Antique & Classic Car Club of Canada (Kent Region). Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Steve Atkinson of Blenheim United Church officiating. Cremation with interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. Donations to the Rotary Foundation (Canada) would be appreciated.
