THOMAS, Betty. A resident of Prairie Siding, Betty Thomas passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 76. Born in Tilbury, daughter of the late Levi & Charlotte Hope. Beloved wife for 56 years to Joseph Thomas. Cherished and loving mother to Kevin Thomas of Prairie Siding, and Karen & Bill Bond of Chatham. Forever missed by her grandchildren Matthew Bond, Stephanie Bond, Jennifer Bond-McDonald, and great-grandchildren Ethan, Dominic, Morgan, Lucas, and Violet. Predeceased by her brothers William “Bill” Hope, and Clayton Hope. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Stewart Cemetery.
