Obituary of Catherine Margaret Travis

TRAVIS: Catherine Margaret, A resident of Merlin, Catherine Travis passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance- Chatham Campus on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the age of 59. She was born in Ottawa, daughter of the late Cecil and Margaret (nee Gray) Herdman. Wife of 13 years to Burnard Travis. Dear mother to David Desjardins (Rose), Robert Desjardins (Sonnya), Udona Crosby (Lester), Andrew Herdman (Stephanie). Catherine was also a second mom to Joel, Josh, Magan Desjardins. Proud grandmother to Michelle, Marisa, Ashley, Katelyn, Morgan, Tristan, Haleigh, Destini, Derandin, Darius, Quinton, Dredin; and great-grandmother to Tyrese, Everitt. Sister to David Herdman. Family and friends may gather at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. At Catherine’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation to follow with interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Catherine’s life can be made to the Lung Association and would be appreciated by the family.
