Obituary of Ruth Johnston

Johnston, Thelma Ruth a resident of Chatham. Ruth Johnston passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the age of 94. She was born in Cairo, Ontario and was the daughter of the late Milton and Mary (nee Barron) Walker. Wife of the late Walter Johnston (1948). Dear mother to Janice Grant and her husband Jim of Orangeville, Wayne Johnston of London; and mother-in-law of Jo-Ellen Johnston of Chatham. Proud grandmother to Hugh, Matthew, Jay, Jon, Jeff, Keith, Colin, Amy and great-grandmother to 15. Predeceased by her son’s Carl and Wallace. Family and friends are invited to gather at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 450 Park Ave. W. Chatham on Monday, June 6, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place in Bothwell at later date. Memorial donations to honour Ruth’s life can be made to St. Paul’s Congregational Church and would be appreciated by the family.
