Obituary of Dan Morris

MORRIS: Daniel Thomas, A resident of Chatham, Dan Morris passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the age of 50. Born in Chatham Ontario, son of Rose Morris (Belanger) and the late Donald Alan Morris. Loving father of Mellissa Morris Rae (Ryan Rae) of London. Dear brother of Jo-Dee Morris, Carol Sanchuk (Kent Parker) all of Chatham and the late Deb Smulders (2010). Brother-in-law of Albert Smulders. Uncle of Jason (Denise), Ashleah and Garrett Smulders, Byron and Shelby Sanchuk, Justin Morris, Jakob Morris and great uncle of Alyssa Smulders. Dan was an avid woodworker; a “Jack of all trades” he also enjoyed outdoor fishing and motorcycles and photography. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Al McIntyre officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Dan to Brentwood and/or Westover would be appreciated by the family.
