Obituary of Dorothy Jean McLarty

McLarty: Dorothy Jean (nee McKay) A resident of Chatham, Dorothy McLarty passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 81. Born in Cypress River, Manitoba, daughter of the late Ralph & Alva (Young) McKay. Beloved wife of the late Murray R. McLarty (1985). Loving mother of Scott McLarty of Barrie, Craig & Nancy McLarty of London, Mark McLarty of London, and Todd McLarty of North Battleford, SK. Proud grandmother of her four grandchildren: Robert, Lauren, Jennifer, and Ashley. Dear sister of Robert & Sharon McKay and Anne McKay, all of Chatham. Predeceased by her brothers Bruce and Don McKay. Dorothy graduated as a Registered Nurse, class of 1952, from Chatham Public General Hospital. She spent her career working as an R.N. all across Ontario. Cremation has taken place, with a Celebration of Dorothy’s Life to be held on Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 12 noon-4:00 p.m. at Club Lentina's, 250 National Road, Chatham.
