Obituary of Gerard Ouellette

OUELLETTE: Gerard A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Dover Township, Gerard Ouellette died suddenly on Thursday July 14, 2011, just before his 87th birthday. Born in Dover, son of the late Alphy & Louise (Bechard) Ouellette. Beloved husband of Beulah (Myers) Ouellette for 63 years. Loving father of Raymond & Linda Ouellette of Chatham, Betty Hummer of London, Gary & Wendy Ouellette of Newbury, Randy Ouellette of St. Catherines, and Mark & Bonita Ouellette of Priceville. Loving grandfather of Andrea & Chris, Bryon, Sheri & Jeff, Kristen & Kyle, Megan, Rejean, Rosemary, Anna, Lise, and Mitchell; and great grandfather of 6. Gerard was the last surviving member of his family, being predeceased by his sister Yvonne Ouellette and brothers Harold and Hector. He was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and enjoyed carpentry and woodworking in his spare time and retirement. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 52 Croydon Street, Chatham on at 10:00 a.m. Monday July 18, 2011 with Rev. Daniel Bombardier celebrant. Interment St. Anthony Cemetery. Donations in memory of Gerard to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by his family.
