Obituary of Laura Emilene Southgate

Southgate, Laura Emilene, a resident of Chatham. Laura E. Southgate passed away at her residence on Tuesday July 26, 2011 at the age of 78. Born in Chatham Township, Kent County, daughter of the late William Aaron & Lydia Anne (Comer) Lewis. Beloved wife of the late Robert Southgate (1975). Dear mother of Verna Southgate, Chatham. Grandmother of Tim Southgate. Sister of Gail Unsworth, Dresden and the late Lyle Lewis, Lloyd Lewis, Liz Schram and Mary Lewis. Also survived by several members of Robert’s Family. Laura was a member of the Chatham-Kent Chapter of Autism Ontario and a former member of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Saturday July 30, 2011 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Daniel Bombardier officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. Donations in memory of Laura to Autism Ontario-Chatham-Kent would be appreciated.
