Obituary of Fran Thomson

Thomson, Frances Audrey, a resident of Chatham. Fran Thomson died Sunday August 14, 2011 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Windsor at the age of 75. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Frederick & Nellie (Towsley) Scott. Beloved wife of Bob Brown. Dear mother of Barbara Crawford & Dave Echlin, Chatham; Tom & Elizabeth Thomson, St. Thomas; Debbie & Rob Jackson, London; Tracy Jamieson & Dave Murray, Chatham; Roy Thomson, Windsor and Robin Brown, Pain Court. Grandmother of Nick, Natalie, Shane, Angela, Brittany, Briana, Rachel, Andrew, Thomas, Matthew, Michael, Meghan and great granddaughter Sophia. Sister of Cathy & Ron Laporte, Anchorage, Alaska and Ann & Horst Paler, St. Thomas. Sister-in-law of Sue & Larry Kerr, Chatham. Also survived by her mother-in-law Dorothy Brown, Chatham and several nieces and nephews. Fran was a dedicated nurse at the former Public General Hospital for over 40 years, retiring from the Rehabilitation and Continuing Care floors. She was very active with the ‘Kickettes’, a dance group at the Active Life Style Centre, and a volunteer at First Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Tuesday August 16, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev.
