JANSSEUNE: Mary Catherine. A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Thamesville, Mary Jansseune passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the age of 100. Born in Wulveringhem, Belgium, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Aerds) Mertens. Beloved wife of the late George J. Jansseune (1971). Dear mother of Guy Jansseune and his wife Patricia of Highgate, and the late Gisele Zimmer (1988). Grandmother of Bonnie Ewing (Brian), Luke Jansseune (Michèlle), Kenneth Jansseune, and David Jansseune (Iryna). Great-grandmother of 7. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Also survived by 1 sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jansseune was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ridgetown. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish prayers at the Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 26 George St., Ridgetown on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
