DAGNEAU: Elizabeth “Besse”. Always loved and cherished by her family and friends, Besse was surrounded by that love when she passed away at Copper Terrace on August 30, 2011. Born in Chatham 86 years ago on January 3, 1925, daughter of the late Margaret & William Taylor. Beloved wife of almost 64 years to Ives Dagneau. Loving mother of Nancy Inwood (Jim) of Erie Beach, and Bill Dagneau (Janet) of Collingwood. Cherished grandmother of Lisa (Ryan Kee), Scott Inwood (Cherie), Emily Dagneau (D.J. Schneider), and Andrew Dagneau. Proud great grandmother of Brady Kee. She was predeceased by her two brothers Jack and Bill who died in WWII. Besse enlisted during the war with the RCAF in 1943, and was stationed in Halifax. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, loved to play bridge, golf at Maple City Country Club, and volunteered many years with the May Court Club, and in Palliative Care at PGH. Special thanks to the wonderful staff on 3E at Copper Terrace for their compassionate care & concern, especially in these past few weeks. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday 7:00-9:00 p.m. Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Friday September 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Maroney of First Presbyterian Church officiating.
