Obituary of James Edward 'Ted' Doughty

DOUGHTY: JAMES EDWARD ‘TED’. A resident of Chatham, Ted Doughty passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 with his family by his side, at his residence, at the age of 77. Born in Chatham, Ted is the son of the late James and Ella Doughty. Beloved husband of Bernice (LaMarsh) Doughty. Loving father of 6 children, his late daughter Brenda Doughty, daughter Michele and her husband John Todd of Wallaceburg, daughter Terry Bril of Chatham, son Michael and his wife Jamie Doughty of St.Thomas, daughter DeeAnn and her husband Wayne Gale of Chatham, and daughter Shannon and her husband Alex Nute of Dresden. Dear grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 15. Dear brother-in-law of Leonard LaMarsh of Chatham and Joan Doughty of Perth. Predeceased by his brother Patrick Doughty and his sister Sandra LaMarsh. An Irish wake celebrating Ted’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 628, 39 William St. N. Chatham, on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
