Obituary of Joyce 'Lynn' McEllistrum

McEllistrum: Joyce Lynn (nee Pierce), A resident of Chatham, Lynn McEllistrum passed away at Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital in Windsor on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the age of 79. She was born in Chatham and was the daughter of the late Harold and Fayette (nee Murray) Pierce. Wife of the late Gordon McEllistrum (1982). Dear friend of Henry Lamers. Dear mother to Daryl McEllistrum, Dean McEllistrum (Denise) and Candy Corbin. Predeceased by her daughter Deborah (2001). Proud grandmother to Nicole Brown, Cale McEllistrum (Melissa), Sabrina Boston (Kevin), Michael King Jr. Curtis Bayls and great-grandmother to Jessie, Sarah, Jarret, Kohen, Miera and Sienna. Step-grandmother to Tina Martin and Justin Martin. Step great-grandmother to Payton, Brodie, Destiny adn Noah Corey. Dear sister to June Atkinson and Beth Lanigan (George). Lynn will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Beryl Coppin (2004), Irene Haliday (2010) and her brother Peter Pierce. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. At Lynn’s request, there will not be a Funeral Service. Cremation to follow with a private family interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
