Obituary of Louis John Koehler

KOEHLER: Louis John – A resident of Thamesville, Louis Koehler passed away at University Hospital in London on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the age of 70. Born in Highgate, Louis was the son of William and Marguerite (Krause) Koehler. Beloved husband of Lana Koehler (nee Secord). Loving father of Tracy Koehler-Massender (Jeff) of Blenheim and Kip Koehler of Toronto. Proud grandfather of McKenna and Cole. Survived by his brother Bruce Koehler (Grace) of Bayfield. Dear uncle to Liz Koehler of Toronto. Also missed by many friends and extended family. Louis will be remembered for the 42 years he served at Scouts Canada. An active outdoorsman, Louis enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening . He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Demitroff officiating. Interment to follow at Everitt Cemetery in Thamesville. Donations made in memory of Louis to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the O.S.P.C.A – Chatham-Kent would be appreciated.
