Obituary of Gord James Tiffin

TIFFIN: Gord, A resident of Chatham, Gord Tiffin passed away on October 27, 2011 at his residence at the age of 76. Born in Chatham, Gord is the son of the late Claude and Eva Tiffin. Beloved husband of the late Kay (Paul) Tiffin (2009). Dear father to Shawn (Cathy) Tiffin, Loree (David) Schepens and Jamie (Ruth) Tiffin all of Chatham. Proud grandfather to Allen and Ris, Matthew and Taylor Schepens, Alaura, Anna, Erin, Jack and Gabe Tiffin, Stephanie Rhodes and Adam Rhodes. Big papa to Jackson Rhodes. Predeceased by his siblings Jean Goatbe, Bonnie Homeniuk, Dorothy Slaughter and Lenore Elgie. Dear brother- in- law of William Homeniuk of Chatham and Shirley Paul-Fenton of Blenheim. Gord was a Corrections Officer at the Chatham Jail for 21 years, a lifetime member of the Imperial Club, a member of the Chatham Baptist Church, a Detroit Lions enthusiast, and loved the sport of golf. He will be fondly remembered and missed by many. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Saturday, October 29 and again on Sunday, October 30 from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jamie Tiffin officiating.
