Obituary of G. Edward 'Eddie' Stass

STASS: George Edward “Eddie” – A resident of Blenheim, Eddie Stass passed away at his residence on Friday, October 28, 2011 at the age of 61. Born in Chatham, Eddie was the son of the late George and Nellie (Rutherford) Stass. Beloved husband to Brenda Brush. Eddie will be missed by his seven sisters and two brothers, Karene Brown (Russell) of Blenheim, Irene Borrows (Ken Bonner) of Wheatley, Lois Sallans of Blenheim, Nancy Stass (Larry Pickering) of Chatham, Laura Binga of British Columbia, Marianne Morse (Bill) of Fernie, B.C., Gina Stass (Drew Gardner) of Blenheim, Leonard Stass (Nancy) of Nepean and Colin Stass (Estelle Mills) of Chatham. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Eddie had followed his father’s footsteps and became a commercial fisherman, working for 46 years. He was an avid woodworker, and had a love for animals, especially dogs and cats. A Memorial Service for Eddie will be held at the St. Paul's Anglican Church in Erieau on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. David Fuller officiating.
