Obituary of Petronella Van Haren

Van Haren: Petronella "Nelly" (nee Vanderhyden). A resident of Blenheim, Petronella "Nelly" Van Haren passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Nelly had a full life, although challenging at times, raising 7 children, and losing one son, Bobby, tragically at 6 years of age. Predeceased by her loving husband Harry, sisters Riek and Toni, brothers Gert, John, and Henk. Nelly will be missed by her children Betty and Ed, Henry and Carolyn, Agnes, Janet and Fred Greidanus, Diane and Tom Jones, and Ed and Kim. She was loving Oma to 11 grandchildren and 4 1/2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Marie and Janus Rombouts, Mein and Jack Groot, Janus and Christine Vanderhyden, Barb and Pete Vermeltfoort, Lein Vanderhyden, Nellie Vanderhyden, and Jeff Timmermans. Nelly was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Blenheim and a member of the C.W.L. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. C.W.L. Prayers at the Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. and Parish Prayers at the Funeral Home at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 95 Marlborough Street North, Blenheim on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
