HENDRIKS: Anna Catharina (nee Van der Heyden) – A resident of Ridgetown, Anna Hendriks passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the age of 90. Born in Gennep, The Netherlands, Anna was the daughter of the late Antoon and Maria (Guelen) Van der Heyden. Loving wife of the late Lambertus ‘Bert’ Hendriks (1990). Loving mother of Henry Hendriks and his companion Ellie of Chatham, Mary Rekker and her husband Don of Chatham, Josie McCoy-Loeper and her husband Garry of Ottawa and Tony Hendriks and his wife Debra of Toronto. Proud grandmother of Brett, Jason, Chris, Reanne, Kevin, Shane, Shay-Lynn and Dwayne. Great-grandmother to Donald Rekker. Dearly missed by her sister in New Zealand, and her sisters and brothers in The Netherlands. Anna was a parishioner at St. Michael’s Catholic Church and had been a member of the choir for many years. She had also helped out as a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital for several years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street, E., Ridgetown on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 26 George St., Ridgetown at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 with Fr. Pierre Wood celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Howard Township.
