Obituary of Charles L. Gerow

GEROW: Charles L. A longtime resident of Chatham Township, Charles Gerow died peacefully at his home on Saturday December 17, 2011. Born in Harwich Township, 81 years ago, son of the late Gerald & Lillian (Betts) Gerow. Beloved husband and dancing partner of 56 years to Edna (McCallum) Gerow. Loving father of Sherry & Wayne Lee of Kitchener, Keith & Kathy Gerow of Bright’s Grove, and Susan & Dave McKenzie of Ridgetown. Cherished grandfather of Gregory and Jeffrey Lee, Lisa and Nicholas Gerow, Corey McKenzie & Kim Manders. Proud great grandfather of Deliah McKenzie. Charles was predeceased by his four sisters; Dorothy Demone, Mary Dark, Marjorie Huffman, and Mildred Hind. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. He was a carpenter by trade, and in his retirement enjoyed social time with friends at Tim Hortons. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Charles Gerow will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday May 12, 2012 from McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Interment will take place in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Memorial Donations made to the London Health Sciences Foundation for Nephrology Research, Leukemia Research Foundation or CCAC would be appreciated by his family.
