Obituary of William Cunnington

A resident of Chatham, William “Bill” Cunnington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 84. Born in Matheson, Ontario, son of the late William & Lucy Mae (nee Dobbs) Cunnington. Loving partner to Annie Fisher. Survived by his sister Marjory Haley. Loving father to Greg & Fran Cunnington, Gary & Annie Cunnington, Rick Cunnington & Nancy Anderson, and Cathy & Ken Robertson. Forever missed by his grandchildren Tanya Cunnington, Christopher Cunnington, Kory Valade, Danielle Pitman, and great-granddaughter Zoe Cunnington. Predeceased by siblings Enid Rosenberger, Doris Kopas, and Frank Cunnington. Bill was a retired Barber, an avid hockey player, a long time fan of the Boston Bruin’s, enjoyed baseball, and he loved the North country. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
