BROWN, DOUGLAS R.; A resident of Chatham, Doug Brown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the age of 61. Born in Chatham, son of Kenneth Brown Sr., and the late Mary Ann (nee Phalen) Brown. Loving husband of 39 years to Brenda (nee Clements) Brown. Cherished and loving father to Dawn Catherine Brown & John McKillican, Christina Ann Margaret Brown, Dean Douglas & Jodi-Lynn Brown. Papa will be forever missed by his grandchildren Mitchell & Michael McKillican, Spencer & Maisie Brown. Survived by his 2 brothers Kenneth Jr., and “Joe” George (Sue), and predeceased by brother “Jackie” John (1979). Missed by brother-in-law Bradley Clements & Bonnie Martin. Predeceased by in-laws Jack Clements (1997) & Virginia Clements (2006). Forever missed by many nieces and nephews. Doug was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 28, and he retired from Siemens after 30 years of service. Doug enjoyed car detailing, polishing, and travelling to classic auto shows to sell products for his company, Doug’s Ultra Shine. He cherished his time with his grandchildren and family, loved the outdoors, and was an avid coffee drinker. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Fr. Daniel Bombardier officiating. Interment to follow in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery.
