Obituary of Blanche Dorothy Letourneau

LETOURNEAU, BLANCHE: A resident of Grande Pointe, Blanche Dorothy Letourneau passed away on January 22, 2012 at the age of 93. Born in Grande Pointe, Blanche is the daughter of the late Adjuter and Lea L’Ecuyer. Cherished wife of 66 years to Sylvio Letourneau. Beloved mother of Annette Shine & Bob Scott of Chatham; Tom & Sandi Letourneau of Niagara Falls, Michael Letourneau and Karen Sharratt of Mitchell’s Bay, and Mark and Sandra Letourneau of Pain Court. Loving grandmother of Greg (Monique) Shine, Lori (Brian) McDonnell, Jason (Andrea) Shine; Holly Letourneau, Darcy Letourneau; Jessica Letourneau, Jolene (Aaron) Medenblik, Jackie Letourneau (Brandon Gold); and Julia Letourneau. Dear great-grandmother of Julien Shine, Erin and Gabe McDonnell, Norah Shine; Sebastian Letourneau, and Grace and Maggie Jo Medenblik. Predeceased by an infant daughter Joanne (1946) and daughter-in-law Christine Letourneau (2007). A special thank you to Dr. Bailey, the staff of Riverview Gardens 2 East, and the C.K.H.A. Sydenham Campus Continuing Care for all the care and compassion towards Blanche. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Funeral Mass will be conducted at Immaculée Conception, Pain Court on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11 AM with Father Michael Michon Celebrant. Cremation to follow.
