Obituary of Roy McKenzie

McKENZIE: Roy – A resident of Blenheim, Roy McKenzie passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Harwich Township, Roy was the son of the late William and Edith (Gardiner) McKenzie. Beloved husband of the late Marie (Armstrong) McKenzie (1986). Loving father of Dave McKenzie (Sue) of Ridgetown, Darlene McKenzie of Blenheim, Don McKenzie (Janice) of Ridgetown and the late infant Darcy McKenzie (1977). Proud Grandpa of Corey McKenzie (Kim) of Chatham, Kyle McKenzie of Blenheim, Erin McKenzie of Blenheim, Kyle Havens of Ridgetown and Jill Havens of Ridgetown. Great-grandfather of Deliah McKenzie. Roy is survived by his sisters Jean Allison of Blenheim and Eileen Gow of Chatham. Also missed by several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Roy loved to go camping, and will be remembered by his colleagues at W.G. Thompson’s where he worked for many years. A Private Family Service will be held for Roy with the Rev. Tim Joyce officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations made in memory of Roy to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
