SMITH: Norma (nee Davidson) - A resident of Windsor, and formerly of Toronto and Carlisle, England, Norma Smith passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Birtley, England, Norma was the daughter of the late George and Maud (Charlton) Davidson. Predeceased by her husband Laurie Munro Smith (1990). Norma is dearly missed by her children and grandchildren, her late son David Cooper (January 3, 2012) and his children Jason, Tiffany, Courtney, Devon, Brett and Traci-Anne Cooper; her son Mark Smith of Sault Ste Marie and his children Storhie (1996), Brandon, Vanessa, Micheline and Chloe Smith; her son Colin Smith of Manitouwadge; her daughter Simone Donaldson of Ridgetown and her children Meghan O’Brien and Thomas Echlan; her daughter Sonja Smith of Blenheim, and her children Clinton Smith and Lauren Cramer; and her daughter Linda Smith of Windsor. Proud great-grandmother of many great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Georgie Davidson of the Cayman Islands and Tom Davidson of Toronto area. Predeceased by her brother Colin Davidson. Norma will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Norma was a loving, caring person who not only cared for people, but for any animal in need. She loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as yacking for hours with her niece Simmeone. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Words of Remembrance will be shared on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with an interment at Goulais River Cemetery in Sault Ste Marie to be held at a later date.
