Obituary of Augustine Joseph Laprise

LAPRISE, AUGUSTINE: A resident of RR#1 Pain Court, Augustine Laprise passed away on February 7, 2012 at the age of 86. Born in Pain Court, Augustine is the son of the late Donat and Marie (Therrien) Laprise. Dear husband of the late Marie Jeanne (Moore) Laprise. Beloved father of Laura and Jack Renders of Port Lambton, Dora and Orville Couture of Grand Pointe, Roland and Kate Laprise of Wabash, Therese Leclerc of Windsor, Annette and Jean Michel Caron of Pain Court, Sylva and Judith Laprise of Grande Pointe, Armand and Bernice Laprise of Eberts, John Paul and Bernadette Laprise of Grande Pointe, Louis and Janice Laprise of Chatham, Augustine Jr. and Juliette Laprise of Grande Pointe, Joseph and Christine Laprise of Dresden, Roger and Patricia Laprise of Charing Cross, Jerome and Nathalie Laprise of Chatham, Jeannette and Robert Howlett of Inwood, Yvette and Dave Sterling of Pain Court, Leonard and France Laprise of Grande Pointe, Claude and Virginia Laprise of Chatham, and the late Rochelle Laprise and Marie Anne Laprise. Loving grandfather of 50 and great-grandfather of 47. Fondly remembered by 1 brother and 5 sisters. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister, and grandson Michel Couture. Augustine loved visiting his children across the county and was a faithful parishioner of St. Philippe Catholic Church in Grande Pointe for many years. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculée Conception Catholic Church, Pain Court on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10 AM with Father Michael Michon Celebrant. Interment St. Philippe Cemetery.
