Obituary of Kenneth Fishleigh

FISHLEIGH: Kenneth Lee (Ken). A resident of Chatham, Kenneth (Ken) Fishleigh passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the age of 75. Born in Sparta on March 17, 1936, son of the late Clarence and Florence (White) Fishleigh. Ken is survived by his loving wife Kim (Conner) and his four children: Mark and Gail Fishleigh of Castlegar, B.C., Debbie and Rick Bacon of Windsor, Bradley and Marsha Fishleigh of Aylmer, and Teri Fishleigh and Mark Johnson of West Lorne. Also survived by his step-children: Alex Sharp, Stacie and Ian Formosa. Grandfather of Kylie and Josh Myers, Kellan and Melissa Zimmer, Jaime and Mike Emrich, Jessica Spafford, Bradley and Kate Fishleigh, Meaghan and Kristyn Fishleigh, and his 6 great-grandsons, and 1 great-grand-daughter. Ken was a special uncle to Alex, Megan, Colin, and Luca. Brother of Carol and Dave McVicar, Donna and Cecil Medd, and June and Bob Meckley. Ken will also be missed by Kim's parents Joanne Bennett, Ed and Mary Conner. Predeceased by sisters Lois Shipp and Jean Schweitzer. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Margaret Trapnell and Pastor Eric Skillings officiating. Interment in Pardoville-Union Cemetery.
