Obituary of Francis Myers

MYERS: Francis H. A resident of Chatham and formerly of Ridgetown, Francis Myers died at Sarnia General Hospital on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at the age of 81. Born in Dover Township, son of the late Harvey Myers and Marie (Cadotte) Myers of Chatham. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Jenner) Myers (2008). Loving father of Sharon Vandenberg (John) of Mt. Brydges, Kenneth Myers (Deb) of Muirkirk, Liz Dieleman (Wayne) of St. Thomas, Paul Myers (Jodie) of Pain Court, Allison Humphrey (Russ) of Thamesville, and the late David Myers (1963). Cherished grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of 9. Brother of Joseph Myers (Nettie), Rose Marie Myers, Helen MacKenzie (late Donald), Orvilla Myers, Edna Blommers (John), Ray Myers (Karen), Roland Myers (Kay), Annette Laidlaw, and the late Armand Myers. Brother-in-law of Katherine (Dick) Whittington, Jean (Al) Agar, Martha (Don) Kirkpatrick, and the late Shirley (Nick) Marlatt. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at St. Anthony Cemetery, Maple Leaf Drive, Chatham on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Joyce officiating. Family and friends are invited to the Moose Lodge, 850 Richmond Street, Chatham for a time of fellowship and a light lunch following the Service.
