Obituary of Roy Arthur Stewart

STEWART: Roy Arthur. A lifelong resident of Chatham Township, Roy Stewart died peacefully at his residence on Thursday May 17, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Chatham, son of the late Stanley & Olivia (Whittington) Stewart. Beloved husband of the late Dena (Wieringa) Stewart. (1994) Loving father of Linda & Hans Kadetschka of Chatham Township, Debra Stewart & Sten Palbom of Burlington, Jim Stewart of Chatham Township, and the late Douglas Stewart (2009). Cherished grandfather of Laura Palbom, Adam Stewart, and Ashley Stewart. Dear brother of Keith & Ilene Stewart of Chatham Township. Fondly remembered by his nephews Gary, Randy, and Scott Stewart, and their families. Roy was a proud member of IBEW Local Union 773. He farmed in Chatham Township for his entire life, and was a long time member of the OFA. Roy was an active member of French’s United Church for many years. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Family will gather for a private interment service at Arnold Cemetery, Chatham Township.
