VERBEEK: Marius Ralph. A resident of Ridgetown, Marius Verbeek went Home to be with the Lord following a courageous 3-year battle with cancer on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 69. Born in Utrecht, The Netherlands, son of the late Roelof and Grada (Vleeming) Verbeek. Beloved husband of Catherine (Nauta) Verbeek for 48 years. Much loved and respected father of Ralph Verbeek and his wife Donna of Ridgetown, Jennifer DePooter and her husband Larry of Port Lambton, and Melissa Boonstra and her husband Chad of Simcoe. Grandfather of Christopher, Patricia, Kimberly, Valerie, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Aaron, Arie, Joshua, Justin, and Jessica. Brother of Dick and Jean Verbeek of Ridgetown, Ralph and Judy Verbeek of Aylmer, and the late Herb Verbeek (2000) and his wife Jannie of Exeter.Brother-in-law of John & Ronnie Timmermans of Chatham, Abe & Hilda Nauta of Chatham, Harry Nauta (2008), Gus & Joan Sonneveld of Blenheim,Richard (2001)& Marie Nauta of Chatham, John & Hermina Nauta of Blenheim, Ralph & Margaret Nauta of Merlin, Peter & Hilda Berghuis of Ingersoll, Jerry (2001) & Diana (1989)Gracie of Calgary, AB., Hank & Clara Woudenberg of London, Jake (1999) & Lise Nauta of Merlin, Hunter (2011) & Ruth Odenof Rochester, Michigan. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church, 288 Chatham St. S., Blenheim on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Frank de Boer officiating.
