Obituary of Shirley Irene Cudmore

CUDMORE: Shirley Irene (nee Reid) – A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Ridgetown, Shirley Cudmore passed away with her friends and family at her side on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the age of 66. Born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Shirley was the daughter of the late Alice Reid. Beloved wife of 39 years to Roger Cudmore. Loving mother of Jennifer Cudmore of Windsor, and Second Mom to Sandra Roth of Chatham. Also missed by many friends and extended family. Shirley was a lover of animals, and she will be dearly missed by her four-legged friend Raider. Shirley worked at the Meritor Corporation for 34 years. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Advent and a member of the ACW for many years. Shirley also belonged to the Fairport Rebekah Lodge, #322 Dresden for many years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Rebekah Lodge Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Church of the Advent, 16 Church Street, Ridgetown at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012 with The Rev. Michelle Collins-Wongkee officiating. Interment to follow at Morpeth Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Shirley to the O.S.P.C.A. – Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
