Obituary of Everett Burroughs Craig

CRAIG: Everett Burroughs – A resident of Essex, Everett Craig passed away with his family at his side at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital in Windsor on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Ottawa, Everett was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Stearns) Craig. Beloved husband of the late Doreen Craig (nee Bayliss). Loving father of Carol Craig of Hay River, North West Territories, Judy Paterson (Ian) of Mississauga, Beverley Boyes (Tom Kumagai) of Chatham, Ron Craig (Kelly) of Chatsworth, Barry Craig (Shannon) of Windsor, Sandra Bailey (Dan) of Blyth and Douglas Craig (Marie) of Windsor. Proud grandfather of Jill Smith (Dave), Holly Paterson, Chris Boyes (Lauren), Craig Boyes (Chandelle), Lorna Craig, Kyle Craig, Sara Craig, Edward Craig, James Craig, Simon Craig, Carol Sonnenberg (Matthew), Danaka Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Brianna Craig and Meghan Craig. Great-grandfather to Kaelen, Ryder, Deklyn and Liam. Predeceased by his brothers and sister, Milton Craig, Muriel Clayton, Lorne Craig and Leonard Craig. Survived by his sisters-in-law Margaret, Norma and Lil. Everett will be missed by his four-legged feline Boots. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 Street, Chatham on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012 with Rev. Ronald Bartolo officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
