JOOSTEN: Maria A long time resident of Blenheim, Maria Joosten died peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday, May 31, 2012. Born in Holland, 90 years ago, daughter of Leonardus & Wilhelmina Dorssers. Beloved wife of the late Peter Joosten. Loving mother of Helen & Scott Williston of Chatham, and grandmother of David Sherman of Kitchener, Kimberly Sherman of Chatham, Jessica & Chris Osborne of Blenheim, Stephanie Williston & Patrick Hughes of Tilbury, and Phil Williston & Andrienne Drouin of Chatham. Cherished great grandmother of Christopher and Jesondra Osborne, Tristen MacLean, Stephan and Sebastien Hughes. Dear sister of Jet Haenen (late Toen) of Holland; Wilma Willemsen (Gerry) of Blenheim; Christine Vanharen (Jack) of Winchester; Andrew (Ann) Dorssers of Blenheim; Dora Vandenberg (late Bill) of Sarnia; Hank Dorssers (late Joanne) of Seaforth; Bill Dorssers (Mary) of Blenheim; and the late Nell Timmermans (late John); the late Lisa Dorssers; the late Nes Verdellen (late Wim); the late Grada Luiking (late Ben); the late Ann Van Vugt (late Theo); the late Cornelius Dorssers; and the late Tony Dorssers. Also survived by sisters-in-law Joanne Dorssers of London, and Siham Dorssers of Blenheim. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was a faithful parishioner of St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, and will be fondly remembered by the Capuchin Family. Family will receive friends at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Ridgetown on Friday June 1, 2012 from 10:00-12:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the church at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Pierre Wood celebrant. Interment to follow Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations in memory of Maria to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
