SMOLDERS: Frank. A resident of R.R.# 3 Ridgetown, Frank Smolders died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday May 31, 2012. Born in Harwich Township 83 years ago, son of the late Frank & Jenny Smolders. Beloved husband of 38 years to Jeanette (Tourangeau) Smolders. Loving brother of Anna Jushkevich & her husband David of Mississauga, Leo Smolders and his wife Joanne of Chatham, and the late Joe Smolders. Dear brother-in-law of Janet Smolders of London. Frank will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families. He farmed his whole life in Howard Township, and was a long time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ridgetown. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ridgetown on Monday June 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Pierre Wood celebrant. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Memorial donations to Alzheimers Society or the Lung Association appreciated.
