Obituary of Maureen McGregor

McGREGOR: Maureen Helen. A resident of Chatham, Maureen McGregor died peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Sunday June 17, 2012. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Barney & Helen (McKeever) Grant. Beloved wife of the late Kent Alvin McGregor (2004) Loving mother of Grant & Sandy McGregor of Chatham, and Dr. Scott & Jennifer McGregor of St. Catharines. She was predeceased by her infant son Rob Roy McGregor in 1962. Cherished grandmother of Shaun, Brendan, Nina, and Fiona McGregor. Dear sister of Bernard & Ann Grant of Ridgetown. Maureen began her nursing career at Ursuline College. She was very loved and respected by her peers, and enjoyed a long nursing career at Public General Hospital, Chatham. She spent many years there as Head Nurse and finished her career in the nursery, retiring in 1993. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Friday June 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Arnold Cemetery, Chatham Township.
