Obituary of Theresa Sterling

STERLING: Theresa. A resident of Stoney Point and formerly of Chatham, Theresa Sterling died peacefully at Chez Nous Lodge, Stoney Point on Wednesday July 4, 2012 at the age of 82. Born in Sarnia, daughter of the late Eli & Dolly (Fitzgibbons) Marchand. Beloved wife of the late Harry Sterling (2002). Devoted mother of Linda & John Jansen of Merlin, Carol & Rene Tellier of Belle River, Vicky & Pierre Forget of Stoney Point, Larry & Diane Sterling of Tilbury, and Garry & Sherry Sterling of Chatham. Much loved grandmother of Robbie Tellier, Pat Forget, Steven Tellier, Jamie Forget, Jason Sterling, Darrick Sterling, Breann Sterling, Dayna Sterling, and Jerad Sterling. Proud great grandmother of Heather Tellier, Trevor Tellier, Magen Forget, Jessica Forget, Warren Tellier, Jadyn Tellier, and Sabrina Sterling. Theresa was the last surviving member of her family, predeceased by her sister Linda Besant, and brothers Joe Marchand, Alvin Besant, Norman Besant, and Bill Besant. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 52 Croydon Street, Chatham at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 7, 2012 with Rev. Daniel Bombardier celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Donations in memory of Theresa to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
