Obituary of Rene DeVos

DeVos: Rene, A resident of Windsor and formerly of Chatham, Rene Alphonse Kamiel DeVos passed away on July 9, 2012 at the Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus surrounded by family and friends at the age of 81. Born in Chatham on April 17, 1931, Rene is the son of the late Alois and Germaine DeVos. Cherished husband of 56 years to Nancy (Rumble) DeVos. Beloved father of Roney DeVos of Windsor. Dear grandfather of Tara and Joseph Speers; Ryan DeVos and Tiffany Cable; and Jennifer DeVos and Shawn Hall. Dear great-grandfather of Joseph, Juliette, Jacob, Justin Speers; Desiree and Aliyah Hall; and Ryker DeVos all of Chatham. Dear brother of Madeline and Romain Casier of Chatham. Rene retired from the International Harvester of Chatham-Kent after 30 years of service. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday, July 12 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
