Obituary of Eleanor May Hind

HIND: Eleanor May (nee Carter)- A resident of Blenheim, and formerly of Guelph, Eleanor May Hind passed away at Copper Terrace Nursing Home in Chatham with her family at her side on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the age of 97. Born in London, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Henry Arthur and Anne Marie (Yott) Carter. Beloved wife of the late Hamlyn Hind. Loving mother of Larry (Beulah) Hind of Honey Harbour, Ralph Kelly of Thunder Bay, Michael (Kathryn) Kelly of Perkinsfield, Blake (Linda) Hind of Sarnia and Lynda (Brian) Lawrence of Blenheim. Dear mother-in-law to Carol Kelly of Chatham. Proud grandmother of Debbie (Darrell) Bauman, Steven (Deidre) Hind, Chris (Maureen) Kelly, Kim (Rob) Clarke, Kevin (Lori) Kelly, Tammy (Paul) Ritchie, Karen (Paul) Bellamy, Heather (Steven) Park, Greg (Abby) Hind, Jeremy Lawrence and Josh (Joanne) Lawrence. Great-grandmother to 20 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one sister and 3 brothers. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Eleanor was a very active lady. She was a world traveller and a skilled golfer. She golfed well into her 80’s, and was proud of the fact that she lived at home until she was 96.
