Obituary of Charles James Greenwood

GREENWOOD: Charles James. A resident of Chatham, Charles Greenwood passed peacefully on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. He was born in Chatham 72 years ago, son of the late James & Vera (Law) Greenwood. Beloved husband of Judy (McFadden) Greenwood. Loving father of Cory Greenwood and his wife Mary Joe of Chatham, and the late Kirk Greenwood (2011). Dear father-in-law of Carrie Robinson of St. Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Emma, Carsen, and Jalene. Brother of Doug Greenwood (Sandra) of Thamesville, and Cathy Gibbons (Buck)Wallaceburg. Charles was an uncle to many nieces and nephews, and will also be lovingly remembered by Judy’s siblings and their spouses. He was a highly regarded cabinet maker by trade, and his additional talents are evident in completed classic car restorations, including an 1867 Sayers & Scovill Horse Drawn Hearse. Charles was also a long time member of the Kent Historic Auto Club. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev.
