Obituary of Armand King

KING: Armand Andrew. A resident of Chatham, Armand King passed away at Riverview Gardens, Chatham on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the age of 90. Born in Dover Township, son of the late Joseph and Philomene (Therrien) King. Beloved husband of the late Elvicie King (1965) and the late Audrey King (2009). Dear father of Brian King and his wife Diana of California, Richard King and his wife Shurlee of Chatham, Gary King and his wife Theresa of Puce, Anne Bryant and Mike Crombez of Chatham, Renée Rivait and her husband Terry of Pain Court, and Joyce Seagrave and her husband Paul of Grand Bend. Grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 14. Brother of Edmera Stanski of Chatham, Rita and Al Belaire of Stoney Pointe, Gloria and Joe Benoit of Chatham, and the late Magdeline Moore, Kay Cadotte, Helen Kereluik, Cecile Trahan, Germaine Matthew, Alice MacKenzie, Omer King, and Adelard King. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Armand served in the Canadian Infantry. He was a member of Moose Lodge, Wallaceburg, and Local 663 Plumbers and Pipefitters Sarnia. He had owned and operated Kings Plumbing and Heating and farmed in Chatham-Kent all of his life. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish prayers at the Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 52 Croydon St., Chatham on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Daniel Bombardier the celebrant. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. Donations to the C.N.I.B., Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
