Coates: Doris E. A resident of Blenheim and formerly of Charing Cross, Doris Coates passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the age of 89. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Albert and Inez (Nelson) Scanlan. Beloved wife of the late Maxwell Lloyd Coates (1994). Dear mother of Bev and Joyce Coates of Windsor, Ken and Geri Coates of Blenheim, and Glenn and Anna Coates of Tecumseh. Loving grandmother of Crystal and Dan Sheppy, Marc and Tanya Coates, Justin Coates and fiancée Stacy Rezler, Jason and Carrie Coates, and James and Sarah Coates. Great-grandmother of Sydney Sheppy and Cheyenne Coates. Sister of the late Marilyn Kyle (2012) and her husband Jack of St. Catherines. Aunt of Carol Anne, John Kyle, Andrew and Judith Kyle. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Memorial Service will immediately follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Margaret Trapnell of Charing Cross United Church officiating. Cremation with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
